Pink Print Victorian Bodice and Skirt
Bodice
measures about 14 inches across the shoulders, 34 inches through the bust,
26 inches at the waist and length is 20 inches to center back. Sleeves are
22 inches long from shoulder seam to cuff. Skirt measures 24 inches at the
waist (although you could certainly move the hooks to make the waist
larger), full through the hips and length is 36 inches with a 5 inch hem.
Fabric is light weight cotton, unlined. Fairly good condition for its age;
skirt has a 1” frayed hole,
a couple of smaller holes; a few minor spots that may come out ( I
haven’t tried to clean it) and some slight fading; bodice has 2 separate
¼ frayed holes in left sleeve, about 4 separate 1/8 inch to 1/3 inch
light brown spots and a 1/8 holes in center back. Skirt has two large
metal hooks and eyes on waistband, open side placket and a large pockets
inside one of the seams. It’s very full and fabric is pleated into
waistband. True colors are white, light pink and medium pink. Bodice has
leg-o-mutton sleeves and beautiful lace collar that spreads over
shoulders; it does not have any fastenings as it was worn like a jacket
over a blouse. Has two alternating stripe patterns in the print. Skirt has
beautiful print of tiny flowers alternating with wheat heads.
